Special Classes planned for 2022-23

Wednesday, February 8, 2023 – Chop Suey – but you must purchase an 8-step fat quarter bundle of Cherrywood fabric (no pattern required) – this can be purchased at cherrywoodfabrics.com. Choose any progression you like. This will be a Zoom class – but you could gather at a friend’s home (or local quilt shop…) with good internet. The pattern is free, but there is a charge  of $30 for the class.

Please check with program for further information.

Jess has offered Red’s Retreat Center in Decorah as a site for the February 8 ZOOM class
by Karla Underwood if you’d prefer not to sew alone at home. There is Wifi with a television,
and room for 15 quilters, each with their own table. Cutting mats, ironing boards, and irons
are available. Cost would be $25 (in addition to the class fee) which would include lunch
and being able to stay and sew for the whole day.

If this sounds fun for you, please contact Mike. Checks can be made out to Red-Roxy.

Robin Reilly – an expert on Laura Heine style fused applique, will offer a class at the Luana Bank on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 with a choice of small projects – but patterns and kits must be ordered from her. You can buy these from her at the guild meetings, but if you want a kit exactly as illustrated, she recommends purchasing now – there is no guarantee that the exact kit will be available later on. Recommended kits are: Teeny Tiny Mermaid ($39), Teeny Tiny Flamingo ($39), Teeny Tiny Truck red ($49), Teeny Tiny Truck blue ($49), Teeny Tiny Dress ($39), Teeny Tiny Trailer ($39), and Teeny Tiny Bee ($39).
